The Moulton and District Gardeners' Society meets in the Moulton village Community Centre on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 7.30 pm, the Community Centre is on Sandy Hill Lane in Moulton, Northampton NN3 7AX and is a wheelchair friendly venue with ample parking.
At most meetings there is a guest speaker covering various gardening related subjects and sometimes not gardening related e.g. Gin ! If you want to know more about what, when, where and how to grow fruit, veg, flowers, shrubs and trees and how to beat the rabbits, pigeons, foxes, slugs and snails why not come along to our meetings for tea, coffee and a chat with like-minded fellow gardeners in a friendly and sociable atmosphere ? Everyone is welcome no matter how green their fingers, and all this for a very modest annual subscription !
The Society arranges occasional day trips to various gardens – in recent times we have visited Highgrove, The Swiss Garden (Shuttleworth) and Arley Arboretum. Throughout the year we hold a number of other events including in May, a Plant Sale and Coffee morning, the occasional quiz, the Annual Show and a Christmas Lunch.
Another popular event is the 'weekend away' which last year was to Hayling island.
Here is this years 2025 Programme of events.
(Last years programme can be found here 2024 Programme)
The Society is affiliated to the Royal Horticultural Society, giving us, amongst other benefits, access to personalised advice and reduced entry to RHS gardens for members.
